Could iRiver H1X0 output 24bit/96kHz digital signal?

I found that H1X0(rockboxed) could play the 24bits/96kHz FLAC files which can be found here.

So could it output 24bit/96kHz digital signal to a DAC? (I use ibasso D1) Or just truncating to 16 bits?

Thanks.

Pretty sure 16/48khz, do you have a 24/96khz sample I can try? I think my processor & DAC accepts 24/96khz.

RockBox plays up to 24/192 but downsamples everything to 16/44(48) before passing it on to anything be it inboard or outboard

Thanks a lot for the answer.

Glad to see you here, nc8000. I ask this question, just because I saw your words in Rockbox's forums.

Yes, I was not too happy with the way that thread developed.

Not until I tried the HiFiMan did I know what those hires Linn files should really sound like, RockBox really mangled some of them.
