There are TWO moisture indicators in the iPod touch. One is in the middle of the dock connector port and one is in the headphone jack.

The dock connector is the easiest to trip and to read, so we apple techs always check the dock connector first.

I stand corrected, I've only heard of the one from the headphone connector on most forums I visit, and I can see why one for the dock connector would be easier to trip/see
