Please people get vaccinated. You will be doing a favor to not only yourself but also to people around you. And no! These vaccines are not cheap knockoffs that have been put together to rob you of your money or health.
The reason they got out so quickly is because of the recent increase in flu epidemics. Almost all flu viruses have a similar basal function and structure and therefore it is easy to move one vaccine to another virus. All that was needed in case of swine flu vaccine was FDA approval after some simple changes in the production method, as compared to other flu viruses. I should know, I am a biotechnology student and in no way affiliated with any company ^^
If you still insist on not taking the vaccine then let me remind of one simple fact. Almost all of the infections that are spreading out to other countries have their origins in US. Probably because people didn't think it was important to have proper precautions (both residents and tourists). It is more important because technically US is the center of the economic world with the second largest number of arriving tourists (US is just an example here). First money (read banking) and then health? Have some mercy on the rest of the world people!
