I would avoid IE7 / IE8 from non authorized dealer. Too much fake already

I emailed Senn. and they had eBay remove them.

Yeah there are a lot of fakes nowadays. I suggested IE7 to my friend, and he went for a "cheap" buy on eBay and... obviously got fakes. The fakes aren't even close to the real ones, the cable usually gives it away since the real Sennheiser cables are extreme tanks.

i have the IE8, and the cable is absolutly awesome, its strong, soft and dosnt tangle, describing it reminds me of a femenine hygine product commercial :P

anyways, they are well worth the price paid when going trough an authorized vender,

I'd avoid the IE series altogether and get something else. Westone, UE's (if you can accept appalling customer service from logitech) etc, etc. why dip your feet in a pool of possible fakes?

the real ones are tuff as tanks. touch wood.

I don't have the IE7, but I'm pretty sure the wire protector/guide that comes out of the IEM around the wire is black, not clear or translucent. See this PDF file with the IE8/7/6 series specs.
