Sounds awesome. Where can I get the pair?
SRH840 if these are your two options.
I'd probably recommend an ES7 or ESW9 personally.

Now look at what Headroom has gone done did! I knew their recent liberal ratings of poorish headphones like SK and Monster would lead to a misinformation problem. Tisk. Tisk.

(Shure SRH-840's all the way.)

Haven't tested either, but Shure are a proven name in the field and this 'Beats by Dr Dre' seems like marketing BS imo. Like buying ripped up jeans for $150 cause they are by <insert celebrity name here>.

Just my 2 cents

i work for bestbuy, so using my employee discount, i can get the beats for a little over $150

es7 can be had for under 100 bucks and they sound great, forget about it, you can't beat that deal

The issue here is that the beats by dre are active noise cancelling and operate on battery.
They will stop functioning without a fresh battery in them. Oh and theyll start to sound worse when the battery loses power.

If you have the choice between these two only go for the sure, a bit big but you can actually talk about sound quality when describing them.

Headroom sold a bit of their soul in order to stay competitive (times are rough) so from now on their rating system should be ignored.

between those 2, definitely the shure.
but it isn't really for portable use

Tried the SRH440 and thought it was pretty nice for the price. Go for the Shure

I bet they spent more money advertising than actually developing these phones.
