I hate to have to do this, but I very badly need the cash.
I bought both, the headphones and the upgrade cable together approx 2-3 yrs ago. I used them sparingly at first... that is, until I came to the conclusion that the 650's just weren't for me. I just didn't ever seem to connect with the "Senn sound"... I like a more lively presentation that the Shure SE530's, for example, provide.
As for a detailed description of their history of use...
I've only used them sparingly, in the beginning/during the 1st 6 months, for short periods of time. So honestly, I would say that they haven't been used in over 1 1/2 yrs!
All of my headphones, and my other hi-fi electronics for that matter... they are all in pristine/mint condition. It's just how I treat my hi-fi products. You might say that when it comes to electronics/hi-fi, I have an OCD/neat-freak-like condition. I literally feel uncomfortable and "out of place" when a hi-fi component that I own is dirty or "not new" condition. To sum it all up, these headphones are in like-new condition, guaranteed, not a scratch to be found!!
The only reason regarding why I even held onto them for this long was because I thought that maybe in the future, I'd upgrade a few other components in my setup to maybe, possibly improve or bring-out some of the hidden characteristics that might have been hiding behind some of the weak points in my setup. But, you have to have money to do something like that... money I don't have
Although I am going to start saving up, slowly but surely, to buy the HD800's some day in the very distant future
Anywho, I'd like to sell them together at 400 even... I paid over $225 for the cables alone and they do in fact make a noticeable difference.
Unfortunately, I learned too late that if you're the type that doesn't like the "Senn sound," no amount of $200-500 cables can change that. But if you do like the characteristic "Senn sound," these headphones certainly will fill that need.
As far as pictures go... I don't have access to a digital camera at this point in time, but I am working on it. If you don't know what the 650's look like, simply head on over to headphone.com and take a look at their beautiful pics of the 650... my 650's will look exactly like that!
So yeah, I would like to get $400 even for both the cables and headphones(stock cable included). However, if anyone wants to make any kind of different offer, let me know and we might be able to work something out.
Thanx for looking
