Need help deciding on amp. - Page 2

It looks like I'm leaning toward the Aune. I'm reading good things about it on multiple threads, except for the power supply which requires a bulky adapter. I'm sure I can get a replacement one for US outlets though, so it's no issue. The amp is supposed to be very good, just like devast above said. And I have not heard of any blowing up, doing a sudden death, or frying the cans on your head!

My only question is that since the Aune doesn't have an on/off switch, how do you turn it "off"?

From what I've read the amp is based on the Graham Slee Solo and some posts (of enthusiastic buyers) claim that the Aune beats the Solo.
I don't think so, but I believe it will be pretty good.
And it looks good
Yes does look nice. The front panel is a milled 10mm thick beautiful aluminum panel!

Don't go just for the looks It also has good quality pcb in it, thick and sturdy(unlike the zero). Also i just checked the sellers page, he's saying: "Sorry, out of stock now.
New model (MK2 SE) will be ready to ship on Nov 10.
You can pre-order or wait for my update."
You should wait for this, i'm sure they fixed some shortcomings on it. Hopefully they added some regulation to the opamps psu

hehe I saw notice too. I plan on waiting. I guess I'll be able to find out what they improved upon it.

Hi everybody, new to this headphone malarky, but not to hi fi, have had some HD600s for a few years, cos they were flogging them at Richer Sounds for a hundred quid, and I couldn't resist, but was of course dissapointed, now I see why, not even the hp socket on my 3k Integra RDC7 cinema processor, drives them well.

So anyway have been using them late at night lately on a nice shiney new17" HP/Vista Laptop, as a portable DVD/CD player, and of course they lack a lot, so thought time to have this superb quality iv'e been hearing about, but not much cash, so did a lot of research on net, and nearly bought a Zero, then luckily I found this site ( really top notch by the way ) so days later figured I would go with Musiland 02,used in USB mode, and one of these Bravo valve amps, as I doubt the Musiland will drive the HD 600 well, but now reading this do you think the Aune is up to the job of both, saving me some cash, I have a spare 18v compaq computer power supply lying arround to power it, keen to hear your thoughts, thanks in advance for any help.

I think I'm tossing both the Zero and Aune out of the head and biting the bullet on Styleaudio's Carat-Emerald DAC/amp. A bit pricier at 195, but it's on sale from the usual 350!

I am also stuck between the Zero and the Aune. I LOVE the looks of the Aune and I love how it has RCA input. But I am going to be using it only as a DAC. I will be checking up on this thread to maybe help me make my decision.

I was stuck between both of those two, until the Emerald caught my attention. It's supposed to have a top notch DAC. The amp is only so-so, but I plan on getting a Little Dot later anyways.

I like it but it is still at the top of my price range...
