wireless unit uses same wire quality as normal wires?

I'm curious about some of the experiences from people who have this unit. I'm going to order some new wires as my previous have broken due to it "getting hard". I'm interested in buying the wireless unit... but i'm put off by the price, especially with the "hard wire" issue that is plaguing the normal wires and the fact that the wires are not replaceable.

In short, what are the opinions on the build quality?

Both wired cable and wireless cable felt the same to me.
I am still having the 2008 cables and was i lucky lol, i heard much issues happening to them, but mine was perfectly fine.
No hardening issues happening on my 2008 wireless kit too.

It is actually a different cable on the wireless then the older cable people have had issues with. Its a thicker more durable cable seeing as you don't need to worry about microphonics with the wireless unit.
