Vote: Favorite Pink Floyd Song - Page 2

I voted other. For DSOTM, Wish You Were Here, and Animals, I have a hard time separating the album from the songs. Except maybe Money which got a lot of radio play, but it's not my favorite. Of those listed, Echoes is probably my favorite, but I like One of These Days better off of Meddle. I also like a few tracks off of Piper at the Gates of Dawn a lot, with my favorites being Interstellar Overdrive and Chapter 24.

Voted for Shine On You Crazy Diamond but it was a toss really between it and Comfortably Numb.

Hard to pick just one, but Echoes is my all time fav.

I can't decide. Good choices but weighted too heavy for DS. If I had 5 seconds to live and had to choose for life, Time....Dogs....Shine On....Agghh!

Even if there first recorded output was 45 rpm singles, plus they had singles in England in the charts before the dawn of the Lp. I think this is the band that made the Lp. It seems that whole sides are how we understand this music. Fm radio made it's format playing Floyd songs in the mid 1970s, but even then they boxed two songs together into mini Floyd airwave epics that everyone loved. It seems Floyds day is the day of the Lp and everything after is fallout. There is no one song. Is there one song when they played live? I can not vote.

When I was in college in upstate NY in the 70s, the local radio station would play whole sides of prog rock LPs. When The Wall came out, they played the whole album, with a break between each side.

Yep, It's one of my favorites as well. I've always gotten a kick out of the line "I'll give you anything, everything, if you want things".

I'm going to go off the list and say "See Emily Play". I've recently discovered an affinity for DSOTM and Wish You Were Here, but I think I'll always like Emily the best.
