MAXIMO iM-590 vs. Phillips SHE9850

So, I read one bad review of Phillips SHE9850 which initially turned me off. But it seems to be a BA that is affordable with decent build quality and sound.

The Maximo IM-590 has a lot of good press too.

I'm looking to drive these out of a NWZ-700 series walkman unampped, which do you think is better for a generally balanced sound with good mids, fairly extended highs ( dont have to be spectacular). The bass doesn't have to be that warm, but I need to be able to hear bass guitar, drums, and the music can't feel flat. I can always EQ if need be.

I've heard the sound from BA's sound "fake", haven't compared.

Please help me out, thanks!

hmm both are good but in the highs since you want their better on the 590's

PL-50 may be of interest to you, its a bit bass lighter than those 2 though
