$14.00/each!!

Ok, as of this post, those are the prices. These are not the imported SACD+DVD sets; these are the domestic CD+DVD boxsets.

Genesis 1970 - 1975 boxset

Genesis 1976 - 1982 boxset

Genesis 1983 - 1998 boxset

Wow! What a deal. Mine are ordered. Thanks for the tip.

I've already got most of this material covered in one way or another, some of which on SACD, but still too good of a deal to pass up.

Of course, I would have preferred the SACD box sets, but the cost of those are a bit steep.

And I have a SACD+NTSC DVD of "Calling All Stations" coming in from Hong Kong. I thought it was quite a deal @ $20.00. Little did I know....

I'll still pick up the SACD versions, money permitting....

Never really explored the world of Genesis, so now is a great opportunity!
I grabbed the "Genesis 1970 - 1975"-boxset. Let's just hope that the customs won't make me pay for this one now!

Thanks for the heads up! Even with international shipping, I've just paid £33 for all three of these. On the UK Amazon site, they would have set me back almost £300. Result!

I've never listened to them, but at $42 for lots of albums and DVDs, maybe I should. If my only real encounter with Prog Rock so far has been a satisfying foray into Pink Floyd, a love of concept albums, and the odd other song here and there, would I like Genesis enough to get these?

Judging by Allmusic reviews, maybe I should skip the 1983-1998 boxset? Plus it won't ship immediately like the others.

Eh, but now the 76-82 one sold out too, and that seems like a must-have. Maybe I'll just get all three.

x2, but reading the reviews, it sounds like the remasters are victim of the loudness wars. I don't think I'll be ordering these. Too bad.

I got into Genesis by way of their 80s - 90s output. Yes, most people say the group sold out and went with putting out pop singles instead of sticking with prog rock, however, I think Genesis still came up with some quality music, including a semi-return to prog rock with the "We Can't Dance" album.

Yeah I was hoping for the SACD's as well. I've been trying to get hold of those for a good deal. But this is a very nice price for a box set. Must....resist.....


EDIT: On further research, I dont think they sound any good. So I dont think I'll bother.

Woah, seriously? I paid more than that for The Wall and DSOTM not, like, three months ago. And was considering getting Wish You Were Here just yesterday.

Find us more! Now if only they'd get the Led Zeppelin mini-LP set on sale.
