Hi,

My friend recently bought himself a Sony X1060 player from Japan. He wants to change the language of the player but he found no way of doing it.

So if any of you guys know how to do it, please give us a hand...

Thanx.

no way, because japanese version of Sony never support other languages since long time ago

The NW-X10xx players only display in Japanese. The players made for the rest of the world (NWZ-X10xx) can have their languages changed.

Best thing to do: download an English (or whatever) manual from the appropriate Sony site for a country and navigate around. Things are in the same place.

So, if we try to put another firmware, say a european one, would that solve the problem?

if so, how can we do it?

each version has their own firmware and not support each other globally

As a_tumiwa states, it's not possible. The only firmware you can put on a Japanese player is the Japanese firmware.

Sounds like your friend needed to do some homework before he bought the player.
