Scored a Brand New 64G Touch! Half Price!

I was looking through the local Craigslist. Saw an ad for $400 worth of Apple gift cards for $200. I emailed the seller, we met at the mall, I called the 800 number on the back of the cards to verify they were what the seller claimed, paid him $200, then walked over to the Apple store. Using the cards, I purchased a brand new 3rd Gen 64Gig Touch. I already had a 2nd Gen 8 Gig Touch. I've been comparing the SQ differences of the two units with my Grado SR325is phones. I loaded both of them with ALAC files of Beatles (recent remasters), Led Zeppelin, Carly Simon, Liz Phair, Pink Floyd, etc. I thought they would sound pretty much the same however the new 3rd Gen sounds noticeably better than the 2nd Gen. The sound is punchier, and there is a little more volume available on the 3rd Gen model. Female voices sound breathier and clearer. I'm very pleased!

I ended up giving the 2nd Gen 8 Gig to a friend. Next on my list are the Westone 3 phones for portable listening. Hope I love them as much as the 325is phones!

This is much welcomed. Much contention about SQ here, though...

Well I guess he can't sell it for 400 obviously, but why not 300? You got me there. Good find, dude.

The seller claimed he was an Apple employee and the cards were a bonus that he didn't have any use for. He said he needed cash, not gift cards. Talk about being at the right place (checking out Craigslist), at the right time!

That's a smoking deal! I can't imagine them hitting that low up-front, even second-hand, for quite a while.

Great catch, enjoy the new toy.

Everything comes back to one's frame of reference. It may just be I had a bum 8Gig 2nd Gen Touch and never even knew it!

He probably gained $200, if you catch my drift.

No such deals in my area... The only thing craigslist deal around here is a set of HD-650's for 200 bucks.

Wow

I see someone found my lost gift cards. Is there anyway you can return them to me
