PURPLE cable suitable for guitar cable?

Well I'm making another guitar cable for another friend who wants it to be purple, so I guess I need microphone or coax cable. Does anyone know if there's some that I can get in purple, preferably from Markertek? Thanks.

I know that Canare L-4E6S comes in purple, so I'm pretty sure that there's a Canare coaxial that has the same color.

Would Canare Corporation Of America Canare LV-61S RG59 Coaxial Cable Bulk Video Cable at Markertek.com be suitable?

Edit: It says it's for video, but it looks about the same as the GS-6.

I wouldn't use rg59 for an instrument cable. That stuff is pretty stiff and the solid core won't last too long if it's bent repeatedly.

If it really has to be purple I'd use the star quad jageur272 recommended or get something a little heavier and find some purple sleeving. Or you could just send him to the music store.

1. It's a stranded conductor.
2. It says it's very flexible.

StarQuad has 4 conductors, two too many for a guitar cable.

Maybe read some notes here on the guitar cable:

MOGAMIĀ® - Guitar Cables

Admittedly biased as it is a manufacturer, but something to think about.

Connect 2 conductors to signal, 2 conductors to ground...

Well, that didn't stop these folks.

You actually just wire shield to ground and all 4 signal wires to tip. Actually gives some redundancy if the cable gets crushed or otherwise damaged.

Interesting. I had to go check out a whirlwind cable of mine to look at it's construction. Nothing fancy about it at all. It's just a core, an insulator, a braided shield ground surrounded by the outer pvc jacket. Nothing else. I've had that cable for over 10 years and I never noticed any microphonics with it. I think jumping around on stage would count as flexing the cable.

I got some mogami w2534 from redco that's a nice shade of violet.. Not sure how it'd fair as a guitar cable though

G-spot cable
from NEO by Oyaide.

GS6 is outstanding, very quiet even after years of hard service. If your friend wants a good cable that is also purple, I'd still use GS6, and look for purple braided covering, rather than using another cable based on it's jacket.
