I adore these, but Christ is this cord lengthy...I'll obviously not even think about a re-cabling right now, but I'm just wondering if you guys could recommend some kind of case to carry the cord, MP3 player (cowon d2), and volume adjuster in. (I've seen a few pretty nice ones on here, but it looks like they'd just be good for carrying something like an MP3/amp setup.)

SEE PROS & CONS. NOTE: The clamping factor will obviously differ from person to person, but I'm surprised to find little mention of it, as it is the sole reason I'd never think twice about...

When I listened to the sound for the 1st time, I was hit by it. I was punched by the not-punchy-bass. I was hoping it would offer much better bass response than SE315.. equals to Klipsch Image...

Solutions for a very long cord? (sony MDR V6)

I know you said no recabling, but I must say how easy/quick it was to recable these. On top of the extra long cord, I hated that it was coiled. I simple bought a hefty quality headphone extension, cut it to my desired length and unscrewed the headphone cup where both wires enter. In just a minute or two, you can have the new cord solder on. Now, happy portable cans with reasonable cord length for the office desk.
hmm, that's definitely good to hear...I just said no recabling because I thought it would be a difficult/costly endeavor. Zero soldering experience, though.
