That really doesn't bother me at all. I think as a kid its easier to get wrapped up in the fantasy of R n R and really despise artists who sell out. As an adult, you realize that we are all just trying to do the best we can, financially or otherwise. If that is something he wants to spend his time/ money on then more power to him.

I still don't like seeing my favorite songs in car commercials but there are just more important things to get pissed off about these days.
