Formula 1 (Jenson Button) :-) - Page 2

Sadly no US drivers . I'd love to see them lose . Just being a poo.

Interesting to see what happens with Mercedes and Brawn GP. If they do buy that 60% stake or whatever, I wonder how McLaren will fair. Eh, not much point in speculating.

no surprise if there are no US drivers they use considering there is practically no open wheel racing in the US but whatever, maybe they can get villeneuve to join them or something at least he's Canadian. Charlotte is sort of the mecca of road racing in the US so I'm fairly confident in their ability to design a good car at least compared to the other new teams, more experienced ones will almost certainly be better I'd think.

I just thought I'd add that Jackie Stewart mentioned in his autobiography that Jenson is right up there with the most talented drivers out there and is capable of winning a world championship (roughly paraphrased.) I guess he has a good eye for talent, given the disaster of a situation Jenson was in at Honda.

In my opinion, most of the drivers are capable of winning the championship. Formula 1 is as such that the best cars win, drivers play a lesser role.

Most of the drivers can win races but they aren't consistent enough to win the championship.

QFT. Pulling one race weekend out of the bag is an achievement, but it's hardly earth-shattering (look at Force India, and their epic weekend at Spa!) having the consistency over the season is the difficulty. Admittedly this is both car- and driver-consistency, but both play a vital (if not entirely equal) role.

I would like to see US-F1 do well next season, if only because it should bring back some interest from 'cross-pondwards, lost of recent years, particularly after the 2005 tyre nonsense.
