FS: Sennheiser HE60 + HEV70

Hello.

I am considering selling my Sennheiser HE60 electrostatic headphones and Senn HEV70 electrostatic amp.

I have had these checked out by a few of the big name NY crew, and am told these are an early batch which featured blue grills. One member also said these were the best he heard the HE60 sound. When I compared my HE60 setup to the HE90/HEV90 setup there, I was shocked that they sounded pretty much the same to me. Take from that what you will, but I was shocked.

I hope you will see from the pictures that these are in beautiful physical condition.

I have just replaced the ear pads and headband today. Brand new straight from Germany. The amp is in wonderful condition. Works like a dream. The amp plug is made for 120V. The HE60 cable is stock (no DIY terminations) and in nice condition with no kinks.
They come with the HE60 box. Sadly, I do not have the printed documentation since the former owner didn't have it either.

I am selling these for 2600$us including express shipping anywhere in the world.
I accept both cash and paypal. I will not charge extra for paypal fees.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Thanks,
~Drew

Edit: 3-6-2010:
I'm terribly sorry, but I think I'm going to hold off on selling the HE60 at the moment. I want to compare them side by side to the Stax O2 and make sure I'm not making a big mistake with selling them off right now.
At the moment I'm not sure which I prefer.

Sure, they are number 011659.
I'm not sure how the numbering system worked with the HE60, but that is their number.
The amp number can be seen in the picture.

In my initial post, I state that the HEV70 wall wart power supply is made for 120V, but I have had at least 3 people interested in buying it who didn't realize this.

So, I would like to say again that the power supply (AC-DC wall wart) that plugs into the HEV70 is designed for the US 120V outlets.

For those with European 230V, you will want to contact your Sennheiser Spare Parts department to order the appropriate Wall wart power supply for your country's outlets.
(Either that, or just use a converter).

Hope this helps clear up this bit of confusion,
~Drew

I contacted my local Senn Spare Parts department, and they said for France the correct wall wart is part # 050228 which costs 24.98$US.

This part would also work in any other country with the same outlet type as France and the same voltage (~230V).

There is a very good chance they have the wall wart power supply for other countries plugs as well.

I was told the numbering system for the HE60/HEV70 is as follows:
HE60 is prefixed by an 01, and the HEV70 is prefixed by an 10.
That would mean the HE60 are #1659, and the amp #1750.
