CX300 or TiTan

Hi!

I'm about to buy new headphones for my iPod. The candidates are Sennheiser CX 300-II (29,40 €) and Skullcandy TiTan (29,90 €). Which one should I choose? The headphones are mainly used while doing sports and it'd be nice if their life time was long. Also the sound quality is very important.

Is there any other possible candidates in the same price level?

Thanking in advace,

of those 2 models, the cx300 will sound better & have better build qualty. Every pair of skullcandy headphones I've ever purchased have broken. Build quality on them really sucks.

I'll second the build quality concerns for the Titans. Every Skullcandy product I've encountered thus far has been built horribly. However, I won't comment on the SQ since I haven't heard those particular Skullcandys and I don't like to generalize.

The CX300s are not worth that price IMO. They're barely worth the $16 they cost here in US. Depending on your location, see if you can get your hands on the Soundmagic PL21 or PL30 (mp4nation.net, focalprice.com, etc) or the RadioPaq Jazz.

stay away as far as you can from the titans, they have the worst cable ive ever seen and the microphonics in the cable is unberable when jogging, you wont hear anything except your foot steps.

Thanks for your comments!

Apparently the TiTans aren't that good as they look on paper so I'm starting to lean towards the CX300s.

ljokerl: The RadioPaqs are a bit too expensive for my budjet (~50 €) but the SoundMagics, especially the PL-30s sound already better. Anyway I'm not very keen on Internet shopping (maybe I should now in modern times...) and I can't find any store which sells these headphones around here.

Is there any other possible candidates or things that I'd consider?

There's no way to get Soundmagic products except online AFAIK. As for the RadioPaqs, I didn't know where you were located and what the prices are like there. They were <30 GBP at hifiheadphones.co.uk at one point.

ljokerl: It seems to me that hifiheadphones.co.uk does deliver headphones here; maybe I'd give it a try. With delivery the CX300s cost around 41 € whereas here in Finland 29 €. The PL-30s are out of stock at the moment and I can't find PL-21s or RadioPaq's Jazz-versions from hifiheadphones.co.uk...

HeadphonesChina: Good point but even if those things that go around the ears are useful, I've never liked them - they just don't fit in my ear.

I've had three Sennheiser's headphones and I've always liked them. Of course trying something new is interesting - SoundMAGIC PL-30s seem like the ones I'm looking for but then comes this buying issue. If I ordered the PL-30s from hifiheadphones.co.uk it'd cost around 41 € which don't necessarily exceed the budjet.

If I forget the TiTans the options are: Sennheiser CX 300-II, SoundMAGIC PL-30 and perhaps RadioPaq Jazz.
