SHURE SE530 - Best Price / Retailer

Thread Starter
Looking to add back in to my collection the Shure SE530's. Can you provide me with some retailers who have good prices on these IEMS (in United States)

Used, I typically see them run $250 - $275 range

Thanks

Just "google" SE530. I believe I saw $269 yesterday from an Amazon distributor. Earphone Solutions won't match it because these are apparently "un-authorized" Shure distributors. My understanding is that as long as they are not "fakes" Shure would stand by the warranty.

Cheapest "Authorized" dealer I've found is Headroom at $309.

HeadRoom: Stereo Headphones, Amps & DACs, Wireless, Noise Canceling, Ear Canal, Earbud, Audio Cables & Accessories

You will need to call for that price.

Used works too. Most times you can step into a slightly used pair, sometimes with more accessories then stock, for decently cheap. Saving $50 plus isn't out of the question once you start looking at these higher level headphones.

And when it comes time for Warranty? I don't know.

Right now, Headroom has a B-stock for $275.

You contact Shure and ask.

I typically don't try and get into situations that will break my $300 plus IEMs. Warranty exists to cover defects. If it's used and working fine, there are no defects. The only way it should die is from old age or misuse. Old age takes time and misuse can be controlled via your actions. Even if something happens, the product is most likely still fixable as long as your're mechanically competent and could splice a wire or use a little CA glue. It's a little more tough to go catastrophically wrong.

I buy used as much as possible.

I'm with ibis99. I bought mine new from HeadRoom for around $300 and would never buy Shure IEMs from anyone else. They have excellent prices if you call, and they are authorized. Shures are known to have the occasional build quality issues so you will want that warranty to be honored.

I had to return two pairs because the black ear foam was literally glued to the post. Somehow the glue material that was in the black foam seeped out just enough to permanently seal themselves on there. Maybe they sat in a real hot place when getting delivered but it wasn't the first time I heard of that issue with them. For high-end IEM's things like that are not acceptable.
