Strain relief won't fit on plug

I've been looking at this picture, I'm using a Neutrik NP2x like in the diagram:



But when I put the chuck on, the housing won't fit. Am I aligning the chuck incorrectly? The diagram isn't really clear.

how big is the cable you are using? the chucks are pretty forgiving. the only thing you need ti line up is shown in step d, tehre is half the cylinder missing on the front part of the chuck, that goes over the solder joints

Yup, figured that out literally right after I posted this and closed out of Firefox. Then, the chuck wouldn't fit over the cable. I just cut the rubber to fit though, the final product looks great.
