All I listen to is hard rock, rock and alternative rock. I've had my Eternas for a few months now and couldn't be happier with them. They seal perfectly in my ears with the stock tips. These sound PERFECT to me for hard rock/rock. I just about can't stop listening to them I like them so much and I can't say that about any other iem's I've tried in this price range.

Thank you sooooo much! I listen to hard rock & AOR music mostly and that input of yours, made me happy. There are other members here who claim that etrerna are not good for hard rock.My major phobia is if their 'over-bassed' performance kills rock music which has a lot of clear and punchy bass alone.

I guess I have to try them at last! Can't wait for the unboxing time to come!

Eterna compares very favorably to the IE8. My current pair of IE8's are broken, so I couldn't AB test them with the Eterna's, but Eterna's are really fun to listen to, and very engaging.

That sounds amazing! I'm waiting for my pair to arrive from day to day. What music do they perform better according to your experience with them?

It can pretty much handle most anything. I've really liked them with more acoustic guitar stuff, but I've listened to a wide spectrum of music.

I should also note that I'm using the Sony Hybrid tips with them (they're 10 bucks from Amazon.com), I feel they give me a better fit with them.

My major worry is if they deliver an overbassed music signature that possibly ruins some more 'hard hittin' tunes...

I have a huge amount of various spare tips and Ι'm going to experiment a bit!

I haven't found that the sound signature is overbassed at all. For instance, in the song "Yeah!" by Usher, there's an appropriate amount of bass, but it doesn't veil the rest of the song.

Russian DBA-02 review

While waiting for Ethan's and ClieOS's review of new IEMs, I found a thread, where someone reviewed DBA-02. Bear in mind it's an automated translation, the author compared it to Sleek Audio SA-6

Thanks for the link.

This caught my eyes:

Rom2307, at a meeting in Moscow, Denis said that in fact there are three drivers, two of them paired, but they considered as 2-Driver.

Eterna needs neither the bass boost, power, or warmness of E5, so I don't think you need one.

Thanks m8! I've already ordered an e5 but I guess I'm going to use it with other IEMs.

It needs a good clean source without too warm coloration because it'll be come boomy.

It pairs well with a fuze and E5 because both of them are neutral sounding.
While Fuze is lean sounding, the E5 makes up for the thickness making it enjoyable.

Hope this helps.
Yes it's helpful.

I own an Ipod Touch 3g which is a rather neutral source as far as I know.

Have had these Eterna's for a week now and these are just a great pair of IEM's.
The gain and sensitivity of these drivers is very good. They have plenty of oomph and boogy. The soundstage on them is to die for much better than other IEM's including RE0 and they have a great all round sound.

If anything towards the mid-range and top end they may lack a little resolution compared to the amazing RE0 but they are still great headphones overall.

This is a headphone to go outside and enjoy the boogy factor.
