I have both and there isnt much in it all i can say is that the S4 is smoother overall, the S2(X1) is very close.

Which one has more bass??? I want a "cheap" earphone for everyday use, because I feel that my X10 won't last long if I just keep using them everyday.

can anyone comment more on these two maybe more about the bass production etc?

I'm also interested in this question as well. Is the sound isolation between the two identical or is there a noticeable difference?

I heard that the S2 has more noise isolation, maybe because its shape is more like the X series.

I have both, to me the S4 has better bass and more detail overall. The S2's are not far behind tho.

Which one is has better clarity? I'm more of a clarity fan than a bass hardcore

Do you think the S4 worth the extra money over the S2? I wanna buy one of them for workouts.

yeah i'm like a headphone virgin... i used to go skullcandy all the time but it took me a while to convert.... currently i have v-modas but i wanna get the s4... but the s4 is abit expensive for me... how far behind is the s2?

I had the s4, now I have the s2.  The s4 has a "hotter" treble, not really more of an extension but it seems a bit more pronounced.  Some say harsh, I didn't mind them...  As far as bass goes they are about the same to me... but I am not A/Bing them also...

I dig the design of the s2 more...

The S2 has lesser treble, lesser detail, more bass, more isolation than the s4.
