Cheap and good...really ?

Hi

Is it possible to get good phones for my ipod shuffle and san disk player ...for under 30$ ?
I dont intend to buy any amps ...
I listen to rock,metal and some classical music and NO pop/hiphop .

Pls suggest and help me choose .

EDIT :I have shortlisted AKG k 14P, Meelectronics AI-M9, Lenntek Sonix ,soundmagic PL 30
so whats better suited for shuffle and sandisk player for listening metal and some classical ?

Umm...but I really cant spend more.
Please suggest in under 30$ bracket...btw are the V-Moda Vibe well suited to for ipod shuffle and sandisk players ?

It's called saving toward a goal. If you have $30 now, save for a month and you might be able to afford something a little better.

What's a matter with kids today? It's all about instant gratification.

Get what you like, but I don't think someone suggesting something that cost $9.00 more is that off topic.

Whats wrong with kids today is that they spend 200$+ on a I Whatever only to use the stock buds or a skullcandy.
Thats like putting caviar in you Big mac, a big waste.

No its not at all off the topic.
But when I say I cant spend more ...thats coz its my brothers credit card plus no one in my family understands my craze for western music.
And I am not a kid ...I am 21.

Its funny how you people presume me to be a teen after instant gratification while its been a while I have been saving for my sandisk player and good earphones.
You should understand that not everyone can afford even 30$ phones.

^ not to be discouraging, but given the slogan of head-fi ("sorry about your wallet") this is probably not the ideal place for someone who can't even afford $30 earphones.

the standard for "cheap" here seems to start at about $150. Most people here won't have even tried something that inexpensive.

I have a favorite but sorry, it's $4 more so I won't suggest it.

^^I don't know why the heck are attacking him,in some country it is unusual to get a job at 21 because we(including me)attend university and my parents are obligated to pay me money monthly for my expenses(not luxury stuff though)and in return I get them straight A in my subjects,no student at my age(17) or even 21 in my country work at a restaurant or bar to get money,it is just very awkward. And 30$ for a headphone is an awful lot of money in my country due to exchange rates,so please keep your thoughts to yourself and if you have a recommendation you are welcome to say it otherwise,zip it.
