Hey does anyone know of any good French accordion music along the lines of the Amelie soundtrack, or Jo Privat?

No specific recommendations, but you may look for a genre called bal-musette, or simply musette.

Hot damn! I've been looking for an an excuse to recommend this. It is indeed exquisite, but it is fundamentally a talented performance of the works of Erik Satie by an accordionist. Satie would wet himself with pride.

Try the Rough Guide to Paris Café Music. That should do it…both old stuff and new.
