Swans M10 picks up radio, how to modify?

I just got a used copy of M10s and it picks up the radio when the cables are set in a certain way. I got new shielded cables for interconnects and it is the same, Is there any modification I can do to remove this interference?

Adding a choke (ferrite) around the cables is one way to do this. You can get clip-on ones from radio shack for a few bucks. Grab a few of them and place them on your cables at various points and see if that helps. Someone I know had this exact problem and ferrite beads eliminated the problem.

It didn't work. There are three radio towers that I see from my window less than a mile ago, that doesn't help . Is there a way to shield the interconnect?

Holy, I coiled the interconnect and then coiled the speaker cables in a linked circle around the interconnect coil, noise is gone, almost silent.

Is there a way to do this in a less obtrusive way?

I thought I would give an update, I moved to cambridge and they're dead silent; I often forget that they're on.

Now you will have to buy a radio.
