Here's the good news: There is going to be a photospread in the first issue.
Here's the bad news: It's all Tyll.

This sounds great. Taliking as a newbie, it will be very helpful to have concise information in one spot. The forums are great and I rely on them almost entirely when making a purchasing decision, but the info can be pretty spread out. Also, yet another use for my new ebook reader!

I would like to see some sort of Versus section ie. Direct comparison between two (or more) headphones either of similar cost and reputation, or some David & Goliath comparison. It would be nice to find out about some "David's".

Great idea! I hope it goes well and hopefully, it will be able to hook some new people into our (expensive) hobby!

Up next: podcast! Except we will probably want the podcast in some lossless format and it will be too large of a file for us to want to download. : P

Wow Zanth!!! All this and the Christmas CD exchange too...Where on earth do you find the time, and when you figure it out would you be so kind as to let us mere mortals know!

Are you accepting advertising? That would be a downside...can't offer a genuine take on equipment if advertiser dollars fog the result...

Don't you ever, I mean never do this again. That white belly is a terrible reminder of too much good living. It scared me for a minute until I looked in the mirror. I can see Willie again and don't want to go back to "the good old days".

Good idea of a quarterly.

This is great news, Jason! It's something that I certainly didn't see coming, but at the same time, it's something that (in a way) is long overdue. It will be a great way to get Head-Fi's message out there. You know, the stories behind it all in terms of the progression from day one until now. But more than that, it will be a great way of keeping everyone informed about what has been happening in the headphones world, or is it Head-Fi world? Either way, great idea.

It's especially nice that you'll be highlighting member reviews. A lot of people have spent tons of their time writing great reviews for years on Head-Fi, and this will be way to say thanks to some of them, and also to help them to fine tune their write ups for a 'publication quality' journal. I really like that academic slant to it. I'm sure you'll keep everyone on their toes in terms of getting their facts straight and such.

This is great news. It would be good to see some consolidated reviews and articles in one place. Whenever I've wanted to get info together or read an interesting thread where there has been, IMO, good discussion, I've been blogging it on here. I have been slowly building up a HD-800 article based on comments by a number of members so that might have potential as an article, if I have time to work on it.
