Favorite Bob Dylan Album (Cast Your Vote) - Page 2

@ Big Tony: Go back and read my post. I totally agree with you about Street Legal.

I seem to be lonely in the Freewheelin' Bob Dylan. Its one of the only Dylan albums I can just sit through and relax and love every song.

EDIT: And IMHO, Street Legal is not in the same league as these albums.....

Tough choice, but "Bringing it all Back Home" gets the most playtime for me, so that must be my favourite :-)

What, no "Christmas in The Heart" ?

@ Revolink24: That's cool. We are all obviously entitled to our opinions here. As it turns out if it makes any difference, I find that Street Legal is one of Dylan's few albums I can actually listen to from beginning to end without skipping anything. And the really ironic thing is that I only just recently started
liking New Pony enough not to skip it, because until just recently I used to do just that. But now I love the whole album.

And as far as Freewheelin', although I can say i like early classics from it like 'Hard Rain. . .', however I like the versions of it and Blowin in the Wind which appear on George Harrison's Concert for Bangladesh better than the earlier versions.

Thats quite interesting, you seem to be the opposite of me, because I don't particularly like any of the Dylan albums post-desire, and only the early ones. To each his own I suppose.

How is Time out of mind not on this?
@Revolink24: Well, I like a lot of his earlier stuff too. I believe that it was during the '60s and '70s that he had the greatest influence on the world, but that's not to do away with the great things he accomplished later on, in the '80s, such as Infidels and Oh Mercy (Empire Burlesque is weaker, but I do like a lot of his "Christian" songs from the early '80s though --- how can you not like Caribbean Wind, Grooms Still Waiting at the Altar, Heart of Mine, Every Grain of Sand. . .should I go on????).

And to be honest I have never heard any of his studio albums which he released after 1989. But after reading so many people asking why some of those aren't included here on this list, I have to admit, I am kind of curious to get ahold of Time out of Mind, Love and Theft, and Modern Times, and check them out for myself.

One of these days I hope to.
