I bought these puppies just before Christmas and they have been a revelation. I can't tell you how much they suit my listening tastes. I love close listening with lots of treble and tight...

It's very small player, so I like it. I have Clip+ since Christmas and I'm very satisfied!

First of all let me say this is one of my favourite BA driver earphones I have ever heard. That said, being a basshead, these didn't deliver in the bass department - I can't deny the fact...

I've had this card for quite a while now, and I have to say its a really nice card - a huge step-up to my on-board motherboard's audio. At first I do have to admit, it didn't feel like the D1...

Long story short: These earbuds, shouldn't ever be bought, when they come free in your iPod package, its fine to look at them, and try them on. If you know someone wanting to buy these,...

You might not even hear left-right imbalance. Matching small signal tubes is highly overrated, IMO (even though I try to do it). The amp circuit is going to compensate for mismatching to some degree, so unless you've got a situation where one triode is new and the other is dying, it's not going to matter much. I've tried some "mismatched" tube sets (sometimes on purpose
), and have not really noticed a difference. All of the 12A?? types, 6DJ8 types, 6SN7 types, etc are small signal tubes.
It's a different story with power tubes, particularly in a push-pull circuit. There, mismatched tubes can create an instability in the circuit, and can damage the tubes and amplifier.

I wouldn't put them (unmatched power tubes) too far off, though. If the circuit is of the self-biasing variety, and it doesn't do them individually, it could get "confused".
Wouldn't mind someone else with more familiarity with tube amps piping in (Tuberoller?).
