SanDisk Sansa Fuze?

I didn't need all the advanced sound options on my D2, prefer the music as it is, on flat setting - ended up selling it.

My RE0 has been shipped, and is currently in the City of Shanghai, hopefully it will be here next week. Mainwhile I'm thinking of getting a SanDisk Sansa Fuze - to pair with it; Fuze is known for its detailed SQ, with no bass roll-offs. Would this combo work without an amp?

Sure, I use my Fuze with RE0 unamped sometime. At least it is better than using Nano 4 unamp'ed.

Depends on the kind of music you listen to. Seems like the RE0 sounds good unamped with acoustic music, like jazz or acoustic guitar. For rock/pop a bit of a push helps, like an Fii0 E5, but isn't essential, esp. if you don't like messing with the cords, etc. Oddly enough, I found that the E5 sounds better to me than my bigger amps, like the iBasso D10.

If you like to listen to your music on a flat setting then fuze is definitely for you and Fuze+RE0 combo works very well without an amp.

Just wanted to add this to your statement..

Fuze is known for its detailed SQ, with no bass roll-offs and a brilliant soundstage

Is there any way of making Fuze's output louder, without amp, or tweaking the files?

I paired Fuze and RE0 together, something must be wrong, cos the volume is not high enough for the details to pour through... I don't know why, but even my Samsung i8910 mobile produces louder sound, and I can hear more details too as result.


Edit:
What's better, sell off the Sansa for a walkman, or get a E5 for it? both will cost similar amount at the end of the day, but the latter would need twice the charging cable.

Set the volume setting in the 'setting' to high.

I too had ther RE0+Fuze combo at one point in time and the sound wasn't nearly as loud to make the RE0 shine. needless to say I sold it, got myself the cowon Iaudio7, and I am a much happier man.
