Recommendation for a friend for mixing and creating

His source will be:
mackie 1202 VLZ mixer
Mackie - 1202-VLZ3

He will be mixing and creating music, so he wants a neutral sound.
Preferably closed

His price range is up to $400, but less is better, for cans ONLY - he doesn't have any space for an or dac in his workspace.

AKG K 271 MK II (closed) or the K 240 MK II (semi-open). Check out my posts and do a search for others regarding these two. Lots of information around here.

Two closed headphones that Sound on Sound magazine recommended for studio use are the sony 7509...also the dt250. I used the sony v6 for a long time, but I think the 7509 would be a good upgrade....at least FWIR. From my own experience with them, I can't recommend the 55ohm k240's...very boomy, bloated upper bass.

A very important factor is if he's going to be mixing is noisy environments..ie: clubs?
