I'll want some more time. But I can give some initial comparisons. The most obvious difference is the level of warmth. To my ears at least, the Klipsch S4 had an overwhelming amount of bass, and were simply far too warm/dark. The sound seemed "thick" and "heavy" and the highs didn't have enough sparkle for me.
The M11 don't suffer in this regard. They are actually a bright dynamic. The sound is more "analytical", but only in comparison to the warm S4. I still find them to be quite euphonic/musical...certainly more than the PL50s for instance. They are, however, not bass shy. It's certainly there, and has fairly impressive punch, it just doesn't unduly colour the sound. Mids are clear, and I think a little forward, which I also prefer. Also, so far, I haven't heard any sibilance. Soundstage could be better, but you can't have everything. The only thing that is weird is that despite the sound stage being average, maybe even a bit below, they are slightly distant rather than in your face like Grados. Still, burn-in might change that. They have cooked for less than 10 hours thus far.
Comfort, though, is great. And I say this coming from having tried the S4, and owning the pl50. These are better than both, at least to my ears. Overall, I'm quite happy with the purchase.
