If I remember correctly from write ups when they came out, they have the HD555 drivers.

I have some Denon AHD2000s and they hardly isolate at all. I've just received some Senn HD 228s, these are small supraural phones which I got for portable use, clearly not in the same league sound-wise as AHD2000s (or HD 650s) and well below your price range, but they block a great deal more sound than the Denons. I haven't used them enough to have a view of comfort when wearing them for long periods.

As others have said, the AKG 271 do somewhat isolate, but certainly not on the same level as most IEMs (esp. Shures).
