Denon Receiver Fuse Question

Hey, I picked up a free Denon receiver that wasn't working, turns out it has a blown fuse and I was going to replace it to see if that does the trick.

The fuse is an SOCTSC 8A 125V type.

I was thinking of picking something up at radioshack to try but the closest match they have is an 8A 250V fuse. 8.0A 250V Fast-Acting 1¼x¼" Glass Fuse (4-Pack) - RadioShack.com

would using this fuse be a stupid/dangerous/inadvisable thing to do? otherwise I'll have to order one online.

(actually now that I look at the dimensions that seems like a bigger fuse than the one I need, do I have any other option aside from ordering online?)

There are 5x20mm fuses that are smaller than the 1-1/4 x 1/4 that you picked out, but it doesn't look like Radio Shack has any of those in 8A. It also appears that "SOC TSC" is a San-O glass/ceramic, 5x20mm fuse that they refer to as "Inrush-Withstand." Looks like a slo-blo fuse, not fast-acting:

I'd get more than one as there may be a reason the fuse was blown. Do not go up on current rating above the stock fuse (8A seems kinda high to begin with for?)

I'll probably end up with 3 seeing as the minimum order for the site I found them is ten bucks, but if it's anything other than just a blown fuse I'm surely lacking the technical prowess to be able to fix it.
