Is this still as good as it gets?
http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f13/et...system-278501/

How about some of the ones located here?
AudioCubes.com - Wireless, Surround
and here
Wireless Headphones - Compare Prices and Deals, Shop & Buy Online in Australia at MyShopping.com.au

This is a little less capable....
Review: Sennheiser RS130 and RS140 headphones - AVReview Accessories reviews

And what about stuff based on this new upstart?
Purchase wireless headphones, earbuds, earphones, speakers from Kleer ideal for iPod™
It'd be limited to stereo though, but I've heard the stereo is very good.

This looks a little more flexible as you can use your own corded headphones
but again the internal dsp would limit you to stereo.
i2i Stream - Aerielle Technologies, Inc.
Not sure how good the dac/stereo is though, haven't heard other peoples accounts.

Thoughts please!

I believe you would get better results in the headphone sub-forum.

Hi,

Has anyone come across a system comprised of a transmitter and receiver which:
_________
Transmitter
*********
1) Takes digital source (S/PDIF or USB?)
2) Transmits via 802.11G (or some proprietary cousin)
_______
Receiver
*******
1) Has a DSP which can remix Dolby content (or similar) using HRTF (or similar) into a format that makes it sound like proper positional audio when outputted to stereo.
2) Has a high quality DAC for stereo-out ...
3) Has a standard headphone jack
4) Is powered by an easily rechargeable Li-On battery.
5) Is compact & provides some means to make it mountable in creative ways.

If you have I'll have your baby! ;-P

Cheers,
-J.

Bumped 4 times, two were standard posts, & two were comments such as yours.
Any experience in this area, have you heard of anything like this?

It looks as though at some point both threads have been moved into Headphones (full-size)
(nothing was said)

So as to avoid the duplication in the one sub-forum, please delete this thread.
