311 - All Mixed Up

Incubus - Battlestar Scralatchtica

Weezer - Say it Ain't So

This is gonna be slopped together, get ready:

Ok, if you've heard these songs I think you can draw somewhat of similarities between them, it's mainly in the guitar, yes they have all have a good bass and drums, but it's mainly the guitar I'm talking about. That Intro in All Mixed up, the Wah Petal and Tremelo in Battlestar, and then the intro and verse guitars for Say it Ain't So.

There's this very almost warm melting sensation. As well it's not hard like a rock, but I wouldn't describe it soft, it's juicy almost, it flows with an overcast feeling, at least especially for all mixed up and Battlestar.

Their styles while all unique, 311 -Mixed up blending ska, reggae, and funk, while Weezer their own signature sound, and incubus defintally their own unique sound. But yet within each of these songs I find a similarity.

I'm asking help me out with that similarity, what other songs do you find similarities with these. I mean I've been racking my brain and it's harder than I thought, Lebenese Blonde by Theivery Corporation was close, but I don't think it really was another song I classify with them.

Now don't take what I said just about the guitar cause the way the Bass and Drums for each song go with the guitar is essential, like Battlestars for example.

I find myself listening to these songs constantly for the last couple days, as well learning them on guitar.... (Even though Say it Ain't so has been one of my most played songs for years.)
So please if you have any idea of what else might go with these songs, like equal merit in sound for the same playlist I would appreciate it greatly.

P.S. Doesn't have to match all 3, you think one song is similar to this song, it's all good, I just gave those 3 as anywhere to draw reference from them. By the way if you havn't heard them I suggest checkin em out~

Thanks, peace~
