Is there a way to mod the Sony XB700 pads??

As the title says, is it possible? I have them and the SQ is fantastic (colored yes, but wonderful). I'm wondering if anyone has attempted to mod them, or even knows how to remove the darned things.

Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!!!

Considering your wrong as to how I use them, as all my cans are for stationary listening. I want something a bit more solid for the cushioning, and smaller as my ear aren't as big as some of you platter-heads. Unless there's something positive to add, who really sounds like an idiot???
