LOTR Blu Ray trilogy on amazon - Page 4

Has anyone bought the extended versions on blu ray ?  It's annoying to have one movie on two discs.

My annoyance is with the appendices DVD's. They could have slapped all of that on one BD. I really can't stand DVD's anymore. They scratch easier and are clunkier to navigate. At least I've watched most of the special features already

Anyway a mild quibble, since I was pretty stoked to receive my LOTR doorstop today. I haven't watched the trilogy in years and have been waiting patiently for the BD EE's. A geek out marathon shall proceed soon.

ill wait till they get remastered like they deserve. The whole things feels like a cash in, the only one they remastered was the frist, and thats only because of the huge outcry against how awful it looked on the theatrical BD. not to mention all 9 dvd's that come in the set, are you kidding me??

when newline/warner gives the Lord of the Rings the love and attention that it actually deserves to be a top flight BD release ill buy it, till then...

I haven't seen the trilogy on blu-ray but I was amazed by the quality of Braveheart, the colour and contrast are better than the dvd version.
