PK3s.

If you want other portable cans, I'd recommend you:

Sennheiser HD 228 (closed) or 238 (open)
Denon AH-D1001
AKG K518 DJ

I'm thinking about picking up the HD238's myself to see how they compare to the sr60's. Sennheiser simply destroys Grado in aesthetics (imho).

I like what JVC has been coming out with lately. They have alot of good options for 50 dollars or less. I want to get myself a pair of the M750's soon.

I have a review up in my local forums.

Sennheiser HD 238 Precision Review - Portable Epicness

I have the HD238's and the D1001's. Like them both. Just a headsup, J&R Music is selling the Koss Porta Pros for 29.99 shipped. That is a hellva buy.

I never noticed the resemblance before. Probably because I avert my eyes whenever a $1500 pair of headphones comes into my field of vision, lest my resolve weaken.

OP, congrats on your new headphones.

Hi all !

I'm a noobie here, and I don't want to open another topic.
I'm looking for closed headphones for portable use to use with my cowon D2+.
I have currently a Sennheiser HD 212 Pro, I like the sound, but I don't like the design and the size (grey too flashy). I also think they don't isolate enough.

I'm used to Soundmagic PL30, but now it's very cold (i'm french) and I want something to warm my ears.

So I'm looking for :
- isolation : as much as my PL30, a bit more if possible, and certainly more than my HD 212 Pro, it's the most important criteria
- sound : the sound of my HD 212 pro fits me, i like neutral/warm sound, not too boomy like AKG K518
- design: black if possible, not too big, and that I could eventually bend/or with a case in the packaging
- price : less than 80€/$

I read in many topics that the JVC HA-M750s and Sony MDR V6 could fit my criterias, but I haven't found reviews, and I'm sure I have missed many other headphones, so I'm asking the Heaf-Fi community to help me.

Thanks !

Here's a link to Jant71's excellent HA-M750 review.

MDR-V6 Reviews are plentiful, for example Here, Here, and Here

Keep in mind that the V6 is the same headphone that the 7506. They are a bit too large for portable use for my tastes, and from what I remember come with a long cord.

The only other headphone I can suggest for isolation is the AKG K81dj = K518dj = K518le or maybe the Senn HD228 (haven't tried this one yet).

I read the review and I'm more interested in this headphone.
However, can any M750 owner describe more the isolation ?
Because if the isolation is close or better than my PL30s, I take it right now !

I know the K518 but if I feel that my HD 212 Pro has largely enough bass, I'm quite sure I'm going to feel the sound too boomy, even after some modifications on my EQ.
