The Eleventh Commandment: "Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Head-Fi'er." - Page 2

I'm all for the rule myself. The no political/religious threads one that is. The one must speak no ill of another member.. well.. there's some who fully deserve it.. but they're mostly just banned nowadays. Mostly the people here are civil, which is nice. You want simmering tensions..? try a forum that allows political or religious threads - or a Head-fi meet

err... if you can get that offended on an audio forum, then that's a sign you really shouldn't be using the internet.

also, stop making so many pointless threads.

Thread title and phrasing of the "commandment" are references to Christianity.

Quite a bit of name-calling in here, so I welcome a commandment like that one...

No response to certain lunatics on this site.

However, let me say this.

There's a sticky: 'no religion & no poltics'.
I know that, for instance, narcotics/illegal drugs cannot be
discussed or even mentioned on this site.
Obviously there are other topics which cannot be discussed here.

So, I thought, that it would have been a good pretext for the moderators to update
those obvious restrictions by adding - not only for fun - The Eleventh Commandment.
So, a newly upated sticky would have contained something like this at the very end:
Quote:

Last but not least comes The Eleventh Commandment:

"Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Head-Fi'er."
The moderators would kill two birds with one stone:

First bird: Insulting, disrespecting, cursing out, .... any Head-Fi'er would not be tolerated.

Second bird: This 'rule' would be presented in a funny way.

By the way, the reference/link to the original 'Eleventh Commandment' was given only for fun
and obviously was not meant to trigger any political argument.
Only lunatics can infer from the given link that I meant politics.

What I have written, I have written.

So now I'm a lunatic!?

heh, just kidding. This commandment has kind of already been stated by the no personal attacks rule, so its kind of moot. There are worse things then name calling.

I don't want to speak ill of Mr Berkeley. Containing myself. But I also don't go so far as to regard him as a fellow head-fier.

What a moral conundrum.

I like to take a deep breath before clicking "view post". I still seem to always regret clicking it though.
