Westone Connectors - Page 2

for sure, give it a go, the size is .75, but I made them .76 so as to have a slightly firmer fit. man i'm not discouraging you, go for it!! just saying the molding is not quite as easy as it sounds. the pins are the easy part, making a tiny connector that will fit 2 wires, 2 pins a memory wire and silicone cover and still be strong yet unobtrusive is the hard bit. but then i'm faced with making it attractive and durable as I can as well. so yeah man, i'm behind ya, i'll do what I can to answer any questions you might have as well (within reason), but I may not reply straight away, as things are crazy busy round here at the moment

they are the same width apart as the other customs connectors koyaan, but each is a tiny bit different length pin, so a universal custom cable will only fit 1 or 2 exactly and others it will fit, but not flush or whatever., so if you can find any custom IEM connectors you'll find them. as I said, you can buy the connectors like the ones they use, but they have a short pigtail attached, kinda defeats the purpose IMO and you cant just buy a couple.

I'm not discouraged so easily
Anyway I will have to wait some time before I can try this out.
I need the female side to test it with

I'll post back here once I'm done either succeeding or failing terribly

I noticed that, thats good DIY spirit, get discouraged like that and yr screwed anyway. just though that one of the above posters might have set you up to fail thasall checked those pins out that koyaan mentioned, look like they might work, but the crappiest of crappy materials though. if you can find the wire at the right size I recommend using that.

Yup
I thought the wire method was quite a good idea
And cheap to start with too!

Maybe next time when I figure exactly how it can be done then I'll move on to better materials.
