I'm sure someone here has bought these already, so hows the sound quality of the recent MoFi releases of Let's Get It On and What's Going On? Specifically, how do they compare to the reissues from a few years back? I don't have an SACD player so I'm really just asking about the redbook layer.

When I listened to the sound for the 1st time, I was hit by it. I was punched by the not-punchy-bass. I was hoping it would offer much better bass response than SE315.. equals to Klipsch Image...

I thought the MOFI releases sounded rather good. A bit too much bass, but good sound overall - very warm and full.
Considering they are modern remasters, they are really quite good. If your a Marvin fan, I say get them while you can. If you want to save some money, get the old motown CD's.
