Sansa c250 w/ Rockbox vs Sansa Clip Sound Quality

I'm wondering if there are any improvements on sound quality of Sansa c250 compared to Sansa Clip. Does anybody have any experience on both of the players? My favourite types of music are country, pop ballad... And the headphone I'm using now is SoundMagic PL-30. Thanks for all your helps:

I can see you have a Sansa c250 v2. The Rockbox is still unstable with it's AMS chip and often crashes during playback. So I can't recommend using this, if you can get a Sansa e250 v2 it's different story. If you like playing around with EQ'ing. The Rockbox gives almost endless possibilities with it's variety of EQ settings, adjustment for stereo width, crossfeed, dithering etc. So it's possible to tune the sound for your liking.
It also can play gapless. The EQ on the clip is nothing to write home about. But again if it's the Sansa c250 you have and not the e250, and take the unstability with the c250 into consideration, I can't recommend rockboxing it, so you might be better of with the clip for now and wait until a stable Rockbox for this will be available, if it ever will.

I'm not an expert audiophile or something so I would rather use the default or preset EQ. I'm havent got the player here yet so Im not sure which version it is. If it is a v2, then which one will have the better sound quality, c250 v2 or Clip (consider the default EQ)? And how about the c250 v1 vs Clip, which one do you recommend? And also the improvements of v2 over v1:x. Thanks in advance

btw, did you mean the e250 with rockbox is better than c250 v1 with rockbox?

I can see now, that you didn't write which version of c250 you are receiving. Somehow I read v2 into it , Okay, maybe as you already know, with the c250v1 Rockbox is stable and it is officially released. c250 v2. is not stable, it is not official released, but it's still possible to install it. So I was just trying to warn you about installing Rockbox on the c250v2. I haven't listened to a c250 in a long time, but out of memory, the Clip has a better SQ, cleaner, better detail and less distorted. The clip also sounds better than the e250v2 I have right now, this without use of EQ. I hope this was more understandable to you?
Yes, and I did mean that e250 rockboxed is better than c250 with rockbox, one of the reasons; I remember the screen being slightly smaller with the c250 than the e250, too small for my eye sight

I haven't used my c250 for awhile, but it's not exactly a great sounding player. A somewhat synthetic, "fake" sound that really bothered me.

I don't have c250 rockbox anymore, but if i should choose between the two
DAP in question, I would without much hesitation choose the Clip over the c250
