Its not necessary to know Japanese as everything is in the same place as previous walkmans. They also come with a preinstalled PDF manual with screen shots of every menu and option which allows for an easy online translation.


A marginal hassle perhaps but one that is IMO far outweighed by the ATRAC support that comes with the Japanese model.

(sorry for the break)

My choice is to by a Japanese version and learn the menus, or by the sound-limited UK version (and mess with an amp).

 

Thoughts based on your experience?
