Wooaudio as a preamp

Hello head fi'ers

I'm thinking about adding a preamp stage to my upcoming woo purchase.

I was just wondering if anyone has used their woo as a preamp, or have added preamp functionality to your woo.

If so, how does it stack up to decicated preamps, or your other preamp experience.

I was just wondering if it was a worthwhile move as the money saved on not including it, could go towards tubes.

I can verify that a maxed Woo WA2 makes a wonderful high-end preamp as well as a world-class headphone amp.

Which Woo's can have a preamp added? Is the WA6SE available with pre-outs?

Well, when asked, Jack stated that he could add preamp output to the standard wa6, I did not ask about the wa6se but I assume its possible.

The option was roughly $130USD for the standard wa6.

I notice the WA2 already comes with preamp functionality, I wonder how different the WA2 and WA6/se sound.
