2nd Generation 8 GB Zune Audio Quality

Hey guys,

I recently purchased a 2nd generation 8 GB Zune for $55 shipped (refurbished). The price was too good to pass up and I even got one for my lady who's been using an old AAA battery powered Sansa. I've also been wanting an mp3 player for awhile that isn't my iPhone that I could use in my hour-long commute to and from work. I was wondering how the audio quality of this particular Zune stacks up to other portable audio sources such as the iPod, iPod nano, iPod touch, Zen, and Sansas. I purchased a pair of Yuin PK2's to go along with it and I'm excited to try out the combination.

Thanks for any insight!

I haven't heard any of the flash Zunes, but I had a 30GB and own a 120GB. If the 8GB sounds like either one (I'm pretty sure it would), it'll sound pretty good out of the headphone out and even better amped. My Clip+ (I only use it unamped) sounds the best when unamped and sounds pretty close to my amped Zune and amped iPod+LOD if that tells you anything.

You got a pretty good deal. Hope you enjoy the Zune.
