Newcomer here. Just bought Fuze.

Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Josh and I listen to alot of heavy metal hence the screen name.
I just bought a Sansa Fuze because of cheapness yet I heard good bang for the buck reviews about sound quality. I'll probably end up buying multiple micro sd cards for extra storage.
Anybody have any suggestions as far as shortcuts with this pmp or any tips?
It seems pretty straightforward, but I also haven't bought or looked at mp3 players for about 4 years and I bought this as an impulse buy.

Sorry for the scattered post and I didn't see a subforum for introductions.

Cheers

don't know - but these are GREAT sounding players - congrats

just tested OGG vs WMA (encoded in WMA 11) and WMA sounded better

Welcome...

If you have the V1 fuze, I suggest you install Rockbox.

Why Rockbox?

I stole from a site when I googled that question:
"Press the home button, scroll to settings, scroll to info."

"Info
This displays information regarding your Sansa Fuze (such as firmware rev, total
memory, free memory, number of songs loaded, etc.)
1. Scroll down to Info and select it.
2. Press the |<< to return to previous menu."

Again, I took this from another site and I do not take credit for these directions.
