I'm tempted to say I see little point is discussing anything here in honestly, because the moment anyone posts anything regards the PSP Go; you jump on the thread and seemingly disprove of anyone else's point of view.
Don't get me wrong I own a PSP and like it for what it does best, game playing; it's too big to be used as an everyday MP3 player. But the sad fact is my Sansa Clip and 4th gen Nano are both more portable (smaller) and better sounding. The PSP Go is still too expensive for me to consider upgrading and I'm yet to be convinced that it would be worthwhile; especially considering I have a large collection of UMD movies and games.
I remain unconvinced by the PSP Go, no battery monitor & rumoured short battery life (which is non-replaceable) concern me -The product is too young, I'd sooner wait until it's been around a little longer and Sony have ironed out any potential kinks in the software etc etc.
I sooner read a review about someone's actual experiences with the device so far and whether nor not they'd change anything about it - Because I simply don't believe any claim that Sony nailed it and got the device 100% perfect first time out - After all, it looks like the bastard child of a PSP & Mylo all rolled into one, losing a little of the best parts of both.
Now if you told me that the PSP Go has Skype capabilities, had
fabulous SQ and an truly unbelievable battery life, maybe I'd warm to the device?
Bottom line according to to this site:
Sony PSP Go reviewPrevious PSPs were too big to be taken seriously as portable music players, but the PSPgo is different.
Sound quality from the 3.5mm jack is respectable:
"There’s plenty of bass, although top-end detail gets lost in a fiesta of fizz"
Just for a laugh - Anyone tried a Sony eReader as an MP3 source yet - LOL
