If making a ghost movie had scored me a couple million bucks, I'd be a believer too.

Anyway, that's no so weird. There a few hundred million people throughout Asia who worship their dead ancestors and tend their spirits.

Dan Aykroyd is very funny and one of the underrated comedic actors/writers IMO. Ghostbusters (the first one) & Blues Brothers? Quite an achievement. His "Dragnet" movie was very funny as well and is often overlooked. Not a great story, but funny jokes. His deadpan was excellent.

He's married to Donna Dixon, for God's sake!!

Wantmyf1....don't forget he was also the first SNL alum to get nominated for an Academy Award (Oscar).

He's public on his somewhat alternative views on spirituality, ghosts, physic phenomena, inter-dimensional travel, energy exchange, etc. Considering the scientologists do well in Hollywood, I've never understood his being shunned and treated like he is.
doesn't sound any wackier than anything else out there.

also gotta give Ayckroyd props on his love and advocacy of music in general and blues in specific.

I'm jealous! He's one of my all time favorite actors. I don't mind the spirituality but novelty vodka? All this vodka craziness has to stop.

Wow, he has lost a lot of weight. Hell, I don't even drink but I'd buy a bottle of Vodka to meet Dan.

He was signing bottles of his Crystal Head Vodka as well as other memorabilia so of course I had him sign my copy of Ghostbusters and a copy of The Great Outdoors for my brother. I even exchanged movie lines with him! I said to him "Looking good Luis" and hardly missing a beat he said "Feeling Good Billy Ray"! Ha! I loved it, totally made my week.

Anyways, I was all giddy so had to share

damn i appreciate this so much!  dan is a saint!

Lookin good Wakerider

Tom Scott was originally assigned to compose the score for Neighbors but was later replaced by Avildsen's frequent collaborator Bill Conti. John Belushi unsuccessfully tried to have the film finish with a song written and performed by the punk rock group Fear (Belushi had discovered the band and brought them to Cherokee Studios to record songs for the film). Music producing partners Steve Cropper and Bruce Robb remember recording the band's music, but nobody knows exactly what happened with the final soundtrack which was ultimately replaced in the film by Conti's more traditional movie score. "How can I describe what it was like recording in the early days of punk?" said music producer and Cherokee owner Bruce Robb. "We had decided to track the song selection in order, and were on track 4 before the band realized they were all using different set lists. The irony is we couldn't tell." Upset with Belushi's antics and believing that Fear's music was inappropriate for Neighbors, the movie studio eventually forced the band off the soundtrack project. To make up for it, Belushi got them a guest spot on Saturday Night Live.

The Mormons do something also, Baptism maybe? It has to do with their keen interest in geneology.

Dragnet was hilarious at the time. Dan sure looks good for a guy his age.

A lot of "spiritualism" has been de-bunked by guys like James Randi. He had a $10k reward for performing any supernatural feat, which has gone unclaimed.

Indeed! He is one of my all time favorite actors. So many awesome quotes, but that is a classic.

Love his movies, especially Spies Like Us, Trading Places, Great Outdoors and of course, Ghostbusters. He has an indy documentary he made on extraterrestrials (it's a big thing up in Canada) and was supposed to release another movie that was going to make lots of heads turn with even more convincing alien and UFO footage that has never been seen....rumors say it's been put on hold because Dan has been receiving threats from the govnt and other related groups to not show the footage in his movie. I'm not sure where he's at with it now, sadly.

Great man. I think he is happy just doing what he's doing now with his personal hobbies and passions and this skull vodka is a nice little side venture for him. Oh yeah..., he's been pushing for GB 3 for the longest time. Not sure where it's at right now, but he was the man behind getting the wheels turning. On IMDB, I'm super suprised that Bill Murray is on the actor list...he was sooo against not ever doing another GB movie.
