SHHHHHEEEEEETT :P that is one nice looking box. I never expected somethign so cool LOL

But this is odd, i thought they would come with more things than a soft case ( which doesnt essentially protect your customs much) and a cleaning tool.

huh all the ones I have seen have dual bore and if room is tight they use dual terminated to one opening, always 2 tubes though in the ones I have seen. mine are dual all the way to the tip with 2 holes next to each other.

Unfortunately, because The Mage is a quad driver, and only costing $570 USD approximately, UM has said that it would be impossible to offer the Mage at the same affordable price if they were to include the accessories that come with their other monitors which would be a large Aluminum case, Carrying pouch, Cleaning wipes, Cleaning tool, 1/8 adapter.

Yes, it's unfortunate that there aren't many accessories, but hey look on the bright side. This is the cheapest pair of Quad driver customs on the market today, it's $600 cheaper than the UE11.

To the human ear, no. Dual terminating two one is extremely close to full dual. However single and dual are different things altogether.

If you need a small, crushproof, and watertight case, you can get an Otterbox 1000 for about $10. But it's not really pocketable.

Or a UE crush proof aluminum, the semi-hard Earsonics case works really well too. However, both cost more than the ultra durable otterbox 1000, and also not being water proof. If ONLY otterbox made a smaller carrying case....

That is a 'quick' review. Nice!! he heh he

Now rank it with all top IEMs you have...

I knew the UM built quality is superb, few montht back, from my locak forum. That was the reason I always comparing them to other high end IEMs. If you buy a pair of expensive IEMs, the built quality is a must.

Looking forward for more reviews from you.

I use my small UE Aluminum case for carrying my JH13's. It's pretty much the smallest most durable case I have. The rubber gasket offers some protection from water/moisture as well.

If Otterbox made a smaller version of this case, it would be awesome pocket carry case.




BTW, MaoDi, can you take some nice macro close up pics of the inner ear stem part of your UM Mage? Would like to see the build quality of the ear tubes and driver arrangement.
